DMR for Public Safety

Selex Communications has been awarded a $28 million (US) contract to implement a regional radio communications system in Italy, designed for handling emergencies and civil protection activities. The system will consist of 450 Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) simulcast VHF and UHF repeaters and 22 TETRA sites and will support thousands of mobile, portable, and fixed subscriber units.
